Reminder: SFTP Transition and Front-End Website Decommission 8/4/2018

Transferring data via File Transfer Protocol (FTP) has been deemed a potential security risk.  As a result of security concerns, Palmetto GBA will begin transitioning submitters from using FTP to Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) in order to add an additional layer of security.  In addition, the current websites for PDFS and EDFS will be decommissioned.

The FERAS website will remain active; however, all functions will be deactivated. Direct Data Entry (DDE) will be available for building RAPS files only. Submission of these files must occur using the command line process via port 22.

All file submissions and report returns will occur via port 22 in the TIBCO mailbox for all Encounter X12 transactions. CMS highly recommends testing the new command line process via port 22 now as outlined in the Medicare Advantage Communications Handbook.
